The Premises Rehearsal & Recording Studios, London
In the heart of London's East End, The Premises has been one of the capital's most popular music studio venues for more than twenty one years. The Premises now has fourteen high-spec, low-cost music studios for rehearsal and recording.
Rehearsal Studios
The Rehearsal Studios all feature air-conditioning/central heating, natural light, quality Mackie PA systems, Sennheiser mics and CD players. Mirrored walls and dance floors available.
Recording Studios
There are two Recording Studios at The Premises: Studio A is fully solar powered and features the new SSL AWS900 console with a Pro Tools HD2 192 rig; and Studio B - the Trident mixdown room.
With more artists getting eco-conscious it was only a matter of time before a fully-fledged eco studio became a reality. Studio A is the first solar powered professional recording studio in Europe.

It's been like a Festival line-up this month, with Last Shadow Puppets (above), Alphabeat, Hadouken, The Wombats, Bloc Party, Leon Jean Marie, The Kills, Kate Nash, Florence and The Machine, Howling Bells, UNKLE (below), Pete Doherty with his escaping mice and cats (yeah, thanks Pete), Plus afrobeat legend Geraldo Pino, Basquiat Strings, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, the awesome Abdullah Ibrahim, Soweto Kinch, Osibisa, Fields, Sam Sparro and the lovely Beth Rowley.
Premises' owner Viv had his big 65th birthday bash here last month with John Hegley, Gwyneth Herbert and Ian Shaw (below), Rum Circus, A Human and Amazingazes all doing their stuff for several hundred shiny happy people. Viv sends big big thanks to everyone!
