This is the third time we are running this popular course on the harder-than-you-think skill of being a great backing vocalist. Backing Vocals have to be super tight and locked in with the band and lead vocalist, playing a vital role in the overall performance. You therefore need to be able to take in a lot of information very quickly, learning tunes, lyrics and harmonies in a short space of time. People who understand the work ethic behind BVs and can deliver, are the ones who get the gigs.
Gospel singer and professional backing vocalist Lurine Cato has over 25 years of professional experience, working with Adele, Elton John, Andre Bocelli, Mary J Blige, Kylie Minogue and many more. She’s a no-messing taskmaster but also heaps of fun.
You need to be able to sing, and sing well, and able to pick up harmonies by ear.
This course runs from 22nd-24th of February 2024, during the work-friendly hours of 7-11pm the first two days, and from 11-4pm on the Saturday.
